Happy Wednesday, fellow Rhode-ites!
We know for a fact Spring is close because the squirrels are updating their nests! How do we know this? They disassembled a 4 foot chunk of the middle of one of our arborvitaes in a couple hours!
On the bright side, we get to visit some nurseries (fun!) and shop for a mature replacement!
And this is great as we are in and out of the high 50’s, in the sun. It’s wonderful.
We have an important Reader Poll down below for this week. Please vote and give us some feedback on the results page. We read EVERYTHING!
We are working the “Happy Hour” event which is morphing into more of a “meetup” and shared-interest “networking” kind of thing, based on feedback. We are trying to get a lil’ something for everyone who took the time to share their opinion. Remember, this is all about what you want. Whatever we do, it’s community-driven. More on that soon!

Wicked Li’l Trivia
What tiny Rhode Island island, once used as a quarantine station for smallpox patients in the 18th century, is now part of a wildlife refuge? |
Last week’s trivia answer: “Illegal to throw pickle juice on a trolley”. Rhode Island's legal landscape allegedly includes several offbeat laws, such as the prohibition on throwing pickle juice on a trolley, a law anecdotally rooted in its historical trolley systems. However, evidence of this law is hard to come by, but the online version of this rumor goes back at least 20 years. Is it a law or not? In folklore, yes. In the statutes, we haven’t gotten a definitive “no” quite yet!
